My name is Husain Master and I am a high school junior at Aditya Birla World Academy, Mumbai. Currently, I am studying the IBDP curriculum with my Higher Level subjects as Math, Physics and Economics and my Standard Level subjects as English, Spanish and Chemistry. Ever since I first stepped foot an an airplane, over a decade and a half ago, I have been in complete awe of the idea of flying. The fact that we can travel at the speed of sound in a floating metal tube is unimaginably fascinating to me and I think that people take this engineering marvel for granted.
The word 'Aerium' has its roots in the Latin dialect which translates to 'being airborne'.
The aviation industry is worth over $450 billion and has so many aspects to it other than simply taking passengers from one place to another. In this blog, I explore some of these hidden parts that affect all of us in ways we cannot even fathom. Rather than being a blog about daily aviation news, I will talk about the inner workings of the industry, the effect the past has had on how we fly today, and how our actions today will shape the future of the industry. I look at aviation through an economic perspective and try to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
